The primary mission of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities involving large trucks and buses. In doing so, they regulate many aspects of highway safety (driver safety, vehicles maintenance & safety) which are indicators of a mover's overall safety and quality program.
